Unfortunately not, although I recall him getting chased down a street by most of the audience after throwing his 'stuff' at them.

Y'don't get gigs like that these days...H&S gone mad.

Then he went into writing collaboration (read people bought his name to add to their books to make them sell) and it all went to sh1t. A bit like the Chinese buying brand names to fool people into thinking they are buying something decent.

Ah well, money talks.

Aye, I went through a period where there was pretty much one of his books on my nightstand constantly. The books were "Bloke Fluff" and a lot pretty much to the same formula (Dirk and Al save the world, and at some point escape from a desert/remote island/jungle by making a vehicle out of whatever crashed in the opening chapter, all whilst having gunshot wounds/broken legs), but were good to get off the planet for a while. I stopped reading when the collaborations started.

+1. As for many other authors.

Why is that elderly writers, who have been really successful and must be as rich as Croesus, feel the need in their twilight years to sell their names like this? You'd think they'd have at least a modicum of pride in their life's work, rather than totally trash their reputations by using ghostwriters. James Patterson, Wilbur Smith, Tom Clancy, I'm looking at you
