I know there aren't many soul boys/girls on here, but I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the death of Melissa Bell a couple of days ago.

Former singer with Soul II Soul and Soul Explosion, plus mother of current pop star Alexandra Burke - only 53 too.

TBF, she wasn't the most well known and prolific SIIS singer (that would be Caron Wheeler) but she did indeed have a great voice; sadly she also had inherited diabetes and associated kidney failure.

Oscar Goldman from the Six Million Dollar Man has popped off. No chance of a rebuild though.

Warning: London-centric post

Sounds like Bernie Katz (owner, Groucho Club) might have topped himself Shocked - anyone got any confirmatory gossip?

Guess he wanted to be with all the other dead people who used to frequent his club Rolling Eyes

Always make a point of seeing people you like, when the opportunity presents itself, you never know what's going to happen.

I'm very happy to say I saw Stephane Grappelli several times, believing it might be the last chance (the bugger was still gigging into his 80s) and Buddy Rich, on what turned out to be his last UK tour.

I'm pissed that I never bought a cheap flight to New York and saw Les Paul play at the club he gigged, right up until he died, but even more fed up that my Bro had tickets to see Michael Jackson at the Milton Keynes leg of the 'Bad' tour, then didn't go and never offered me the tickets!

I always thought I would have the chance to see him again, after all, he wasn't that old, but..............

William G Stewart, 15 to 1 host, dies aged 84.

A bit before my time, but some of the relics may remember him.
