Sure you are not thinking of mad Charles Bronson?.

No, Charlie Manson, he of the Manson Family/Sharon Tate murders/swastika-tattooed forehead, is indeed still close to death, but officially not dead yet, apparently.

He's not showed up in Facebook's Celeb Mortuary yet ...

The French Elvis, Johnny Hallyday, 74, lung cancer.

While not many outside France have heard of him, he was absolutely massive there and adored across the generations. So massive in fact that Jimi Hendrix was HIS support act in France.

Personally I found him to be rather creepy and grubby, but that's the French for you😳

I'm in Paris right now. 24-7 news coverage of this, and all the people I'm with have all raised a glass to him. We're listening to his music in the office, and everyone seems really downbeat.

If I'm honest, I've heard better music... but he's obviously some kind of national legend.

Already in general. https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=322862

Ok, Johnny Hallyday death day 2. BFMTV has a picture of him in the bottom left corner of the screen with 1943-2017 written underneath and the news coverage is about a tribute or parade they are going to have in his honour today. Jeez, I hope I can still make my train tomorrow!

This is really eerie. I don’t think anyone in the UK dying would trigger this sort of over the top mourning. There is a guy on TV right now in floods of tears! Like a news guy or someone! Not even some weirdo on the street... I have to leave this place.
