Wonder if it was a fluid borne reason for death? The most recent pics I've seen he didn't look well at all.

No one is saying what he died of, which is a good indicator it was on of the more 'unmentionable' reasons.

I've nothing against him but to call him a 'Legendary Presenter' seems to be another attack of celebrity overkill from the media. Puke

Well they do keep banging on about his 'long battle with depression' and the fact that years ago his mum topped herself due to mental illness

It's to provide the gay bestie many housewives don't actually have irl. Men are at work, not watching that garbage,
it's not aired for a mans benefit. I don't have to go to work as such and my TV doesn't get switched on at all
(unless its for the Playstation) until the evening when the wife gets home. Daytime telly is pretty much exclusively aimed at
a mixture of female and elderly viewers. It's why I'm on here so much.

He was pretty well built for it to have been an aids related demise. I'll give you that.
But the 'lifestyle' is what ultimately offed Freddie Mercury, so it's not inconceivable.

So, a few years ago when I worked for Sky, I was in a meeting with a producer. He was telling me (and a few others) that he'd been working on a project that had been dropped with Dale Winton, due to him being an absolute tool on set and in production meetings, and had an escalating addition to crack (fnarr fnarr, but not a laughing matter etc).

I saw him on a lottery show last year, and he looked gaunt on there, so I'd expected this.

I worked with him on a couple of one off events and found him to be no more of an egotistical twat than most people in the media industry.

The reality is, to get to the top of that game, you have to have a high opinion of yourself and set standards that others might struggle to come up to - some people view that as arrogance, often those people aren't the one who is going to be in millions of homes, or on the front of every tabloid, so they don't really need to care.

There's no doubt he had his troubles, but I thought he was one of the better guys and, if today's headlines are to be believed, it seems like he might have taken his end into his own hands, which is never a good thing.

Apparently one of his problems was that if he didn't use his own hands, it would get touched at all.

What I'm saying is, he was lonely.

Dale Winton told friends he’d “had enough” in the months leading up to his shock death. The TV host, found dead on Wednesday at 62, plunged into depression as his career stalled — then he lost his beloved mansion.

The world's smallest violin player, just for you!

Sorry but when you think about all the shit people go through around the world every single day, I find it hard to find sympathy for people who had it all then lost it all.

When you are seemingly loved by millions, but go home to nothing, loneliness can be a terrible thing
