Heard Paint it Black covered by Echo and the Bunnymen way back at a festival....great drumming. Laughing

Sincere apologies if anyone feels proper upset...almost formed a tear when Sean Lock died.

So...who's next?

Bill still counts eh?

Aside; I heard him on Desert Island Discs. Said his luxury item would be drum sticks. <resists snark...although subtly hints at what could have been amusing and factually correct>
Loved his Jazz and came across well.

Shame, but at 80 and retiring from the latest tour (due to an undisclosed medical issue) it was in the post any day now.

What is for sure is, he didn't die of exhaustion, him and Bill Wyman must be the most understated backline in rock n roll history.

I happened to be checking Joan Collins' Instagram account, as ya do Laughing ... only to discover that Michael Nader (famous only for being Dex Dexter, a handsome young studaroo trying to get the better of our Joanie on Dynasty) has died.

You may well say "Who?" as after that, he ended up on assorted American daytime soaps until he died at 76 last week.

What freaks me out is that he died just 10 days after being diagnosed with an untreatable cancer Shocked

So ... wtf re cancer, man !? Crying or Very sad
Sometimes it drags itself out for ages and sends you through bouts of pain/uncomfortable treatments, and sometimes it just pops up, goes "Hiya, I'm here!" and takes you within a matter of weeks... *snaps fingers* ... gone!

I'm not sure which would suck worse.

It likey grows at the accelerated rate that cancers do but in soft non vital tissue can go undetected until it causes problems by blocking nerves, blood supply and cetera, which by then it's probably spread to other parts.
Inoperable due to the spread or location.

Guideline it can grow to about a hazelnut size before it wanders. Early detection is the solution.

It is a bastard of a thing as we know.

Screening helps, when managed effectively. Don't dodge your screening.

May he RIP.
Once upon a time, I was a huge fan and was intimately familiar with all his work. Very interesting and intelligent bloke, and entertaining. Enjoyed seeing him perform in London about 20 years ago.
