I've a few episodes of Some Mothers Do Have 'Em to watch as well, that was a brilliant show!

I can't watch that. It makes me cringe. And to think I complain about American humour when we made drivel like that. The only thing I remember being anything like good was his Mrs. was worth a shag. Dreadful programme. Sick

Must admit, he's one of those people who when I see the obit I think "gosh, was he still alive?". The beeb description of him as a legend (though no longer of the living kind) is probably more accurate than mere celebrity.

Martin McGuinness - Not exactly a celebrity, more a murdering Irish republican terrorist who somehow became respectable.

No surprises that Corbyn and Blair couldn't wait to crawl up his arse and eulogise on how wonderful this scumbag was.

Personally I prefer Tebbits words -

Norman Tebbit, who was injured and whose wife was left permanently disabled in the 1984 Brighton bomb, called him “a coward who never atoned for his crimes” and said that “there can be no forgiveness without a confession of sins”.

May he rot in the hottest part of Satans dungeons Thumbs Up

Best news since Nelson Mandela went to his eternal necklacing. Dance!

Norman Tebbit wrote:
I’m just pleased that the world is a sweeter and cleaner place now. He was not only a multi-murderer, he was a coward. He knew that the IRA were defeated because British intelligence had penetrated right the way up to the Army Council and that the end was coming. He then sought to save his own skin and he knew that it was likely he would be charged before long with several murders which he had personally committed and he decided that the only thing to do was to opt for peace. He claimed to be a Roman Catholic. I hope that his beliefs turn out to be true and he’ll be parked in a particularly hot and unpleasant corner of hell for the rest of eternity.

Oh, when Desmond Carrington snuffed it recently, I wondered if Brian Matthew would be far behind.

I think Blackburn is close to being the oldest presenter on Radio 2 now. Laughing

Aww, I used to like listening to him bumbling on, more so than Brian Matthews.
