Grotbags was a classmate's auntie. All through school it was a bit of a talking point but she never visited us in full makeup.

I do remember a couple years ago being in Morrisons, trying to work out where they'd hidden my favourite toothpaste. A curly haired lady was crouching down looking at something on the shelf and muttering something under her breath as a couple noisy kids walked behind her.

I knew it was her, so I sidestepped closer, still looking at toothpaste, and without making eye contact I said "Little brats!". She actually giggled and said "bless you my dear". We had a quick chat and she was genuinely chuffed to be recognised. Lovely lady.

Oh, apparently popped his clogs last month, funeral yesterday.
Famous at the time for his knitted cardigans IIRC. Odd dress sense for a world leader.

Nelsan Ellis, from True Blood died yesterday. Thumbs Down

Only 39, and died after complications from heart failure.

Tbh, I didn't see him in true blood, but but was an interesting character in Elementary.

I had a toy 'Eagle' when I was a kid. The central section came away from the body. I think mine was metallic blue though.
The little landing struts were damped if I recall. I was very very young when I had it.

Same as that. I remember the sprung landing pads too.
Damn I wish I'd kept it, seen how much they go for now?

Where's Mira? Her with the warty eyebrows (which never detracted me from tingles in my Kung-Fu pajamas).

All this needs a new thread. Remember the UFO tank with the flip out rocket on the top and the interceptor ship (googled it) with the shooty rocket on the front?

Used to see all those toys, usually laying in a garden, wet from the rain with no tank tracks or the plastic parts broken off. Probably why the survivors are worth so much to collectors now.

I had a Tonka toy, JCB thing, supposedly indestructible. Never see those about either.

I still have an Eagle Transporter somewhere. It looks like it's carrying a portacabin.

I'll have to dig it out.
