Only saw them in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago and they were one of the best live acts I've seen. Very sad news, especially for his wife and six kids Crying or Very sad

FUCK! Never got around to going and seeing Linkin Park. Hybrid Theory had not long dropped and was the soundtrack
to my first year with Mrs grr along with TOXICITY by System of a down. Shame, Chester had a good rock voice which I
think would have improved with age. Guess we'll never know now. Crying or Very sad

They were really big in the early 2000s, being a sort of gateway drug between rap and rock. I'm probably the only person who preferred Reanimation (which seemed to hurt their popularity) to Hybird Theory, also liked Collision Course.

I saw them in London two weeks ago, went to both of their gigs. Been waiting to go since Hybrid Theory and seriously had such a great time.

Was so devastated to hear this news. :'(

Such a loss. Even with their new stuff being a bit poppy, the lyrics were still so LP.

Gutted to hear about Chester. Hybrid theory was the first album I ever bought as a kid and they were the first big band I saw live. Saw them a couple of years ago too and they were even better then. I prefer their older stuff generally, but even the new albums were a good listen and stayed feeling like the original band Sad.

Properly shit news Thumbs Down.

I share every ones sadness about Chester. Some of the songs were the sounds track to navigating through some shitty times.

Almost seems disrespectful to say so soon after discussing Chester, that another "celebrity" barked up the wrong tree today, in the form of Pudsey the dog.

Sam Shepard, actor, director and all round luvvy, exits stage left of MND at 73.

For me, best remembered playing Chuck Yeager in 'The Right Stuff', an outstanding film for any space/aviation nerd.

Honourable mention to Hywel Bennett, who apparently shuffled off 10 days ago, but it's only been publicised today.
