One interesting bit on the prog was when they point out that companies that abuse the tax system and choose not to support the country can thus undercut smaller busineses and force them from the market place.....so all we end up with are the tax dodgers. The govt won't do anything about it as they're sponsored by a lot of these companies. As far as I can see, although assuring the voting public the opposite, Mongborne has done absolutely nothing to stop the problem in the last 6 years. As shown in the programe, HMRC have to go "cap in hand" to these scumbags and beg for the tiny amount of tax they do collect
A public boycott would be great, when whispers of a boycott were spread a few years ago, some of the bastards actually started to pay something......even though it was only a fraction of the amount they should be paying.....rather than paying nothing, (some actually recieving grants from people that do pay tax ). The British people on the whole are too blinkered and selfish to support a boycott though .......sadly. Maybe coming generations will finally "see the light".....we live in hope
