I forgot about disc lock and started, I found a minor damage on front brake, and when I apply front brake, I hear scratching noise of brake pad and disc. And I need to pull the lever more now(more free play of the lever). I didn't find brake fluid dripping.
What kind of damage do you think this is?
I think I will bring my bike to the shop next weekend.

I've done that a few times over the years, on a few different bikes Sad

Most likely to have warped the disc slightly, although that looks to be a steel caliper bracket so there's a small chance you've nudged the caliper and brake disk out of alignment.

Always a bit of a hazard with disk locks, especially for those of us with 3-second memories.

Is the reminder a post-damage addition or did you not see it either? I always try to hook mine somewhere I'll notice as I'm putting the key in, or at least make it visible from whichever side I'll approach the bike from.

I didn't see the reminder Embarassed
I was always hooking reminder on brake lever, but will be careful from now on Thumbs Up May be either side of grip may be better cause I will notice it when I touch it at least. I'll try to find somewhere I'll notice as I'm putting the key in too. Thanks Thumbs Up

Something I've seen in the past, is to use an old key or a bit of plastic. Attach the reminder cord and then place it into the ignition - it means the key can't be inserted without taking the cord out and that there's a lock on the wheel.

I would be inclined to use a short piece of plastic or similar, just so as to make sure that no one would try and turn whatever is there and damage the ignition.

I've done this three times now: One time -- the most recent -- caused a big trail of damage.

So now I have an alarmed disc lock AND try to park the bike facing a wall or similar so I have to wheel it gently backwards before going anywhere.

The problem with the current plan is what's going to happen when I forget to set the alarm or the battery goes flat.

When I was using a disk lock I got a small piece of rubber tube, that fitted snuggly on the blade of the key. When putting the disk lock on, take the piece of rubber off the disk lock key (so I can use it) and put it onto the ignition key.

Coming back to the bike, remove the disk lock and move the bit of rubber from my ignition key back to the disk lock key.

If I forgot the disk lock, I physically couldn't put my ignition key into the bike as the bit of rubber was there blocking it.

Big zip tie on the end of your warning cable, trim end, end in ignition.

Also get in the habit of always walking around the bike before you get on. Look at tyres, chain, remove disklock etc.

I received my bike on Feb 11th. (It took 12 days)
Damage was caliper support only.
This is Chinese import and I was worrying it might take long to order parts from China, but luckily it came faster. (Or maybe importer had stock parts)
I asked them change brake fluid too, cause mine was 2012 model which I bought as new in 2014 winter.
Now front brake feels much better and can control with two fingers.
I clearly noticed the difference of fluid between 4year old one and new one. Under 250cc doesn't have MOT here and it's not mandatory, but I was hearing this bike has weird brake fluid as new(because made in China), so I wanted to change it.

Glad you got it sorted. I've bought a reminder tag now after a couple of near misses with a forgotten lock!

Done this on my gsxr600, ended up with a warped disk. Easily done lol, bought a reminder link after that, bought an alarmed lock recently so hopefully won't be doing it again soon
