Zimma - the person who doesn't believe in any speed below 130mph.....

FAILED: for going too slowly on a single carriageway NSL Confused

DOH!

I thought NSL on SC's was 50... for some reason, the government must've upped it to 60mph when I wasn't looking. Wink

Other than that, 5 minors... but I woulda passed with that.

BLOODY NSL'S! ARGH!

Way I look at it, because I spend most of my time ignoring speed limits I'm bound to forget what they are actually supposed to be. Mr. Green

Oh well, I know I can pass, the test was a piece of piss. It's just one simple mistake like that and it all goes to pot. I shall be remembering for next time.

Booger. Did you do it on the SR? Can't you say that you downgeared it and hence the speedo was over-reading? Razz

Ah well, at least the hole in the ozone layer won't get any larger for another couple of weeks. Wink

I thought the national speed limit on a single carriageway was always 60? Well since I've been riding anyway I think? Confused

Bad luck Zim Confused

I'm surprised they failed you on that, seems a bit of a technicality. Just remember to keep the throttle pinned next time. Laughing

The guy who took his test when I did mine failed on the exact same thing. Its something to do with correct speed for the road and not making adequate progress or something. Pisser really though. Sad

It may seem harsh, but think about it - how many times have you been stuck behind someone who is doing 10mph below the speed limit? It really feck's me off I'm telling ya!

Don't get me wrong, I'm among those who are gutted for Zim, but it's just one of those things.

It's called "Failure to make progress" Shows either a lack of confidence (not ZIM!) or a lack of Knowledge...
I failed my 2nd test for not sticking my head round a bus and into oncoming traffic. It just depends on the mood of the examiner.

I failed my test for the same thing. I got 3 minors for not "maintaing progress" (riding too slow), he turned the 3 minors into a major when I kept going too slow, so I failed.

Passed earlier today though, just went 5mph faster and made sure I stuck to 60mph in national speed limits, didn't get one maintaining progress minor Very Happy

Also, he asked what the turning circle was like on my bike, seeing this as an oppurtunity to make the test that little bit easier, I said "ooooh not too good", so he gave me a pretty enourmous road to do my U-turn on Very Happy He probably noticed when I turned in half the space he gave me though, but ah well.
