Basic service?
Oil change.
Oil filter change.
Cooler water change.
Which requires your fist and a spanner to undo the drain bolt at the bottom oh and new oil and filter.
Same deal with the radiator. Undo the drain bolt near the pump. Then put in a mix of anti freeze and distilled water. Bleed the radiator.
Bit more?
Spark plug.
Air filter change.
Which requires a spark plug spanner. You can use normal deep sockets and lift them out with sticky tape. Air filter also requires a screw driver and a new screwdriver. If you want to be precise you need a spark plug gap size thingie. Or feelers to make the gap correct on the spark plug.
A bit more?
You want to clean out your brakes and clean up the pistons and change the brake fluit.
More advanced?
Valves too lazy to type so here is a video instead:

If you don't already have a copy of the bike's maintenance schedule, you should be able to find one online. If there's anything on there that you don't know how to do, search YouTube, or ask here.
When taking things apart, take many pictures, and keep small parts safe in plastic containers, yoghurt pots, etc.
Print out a blank spreadsheet, that has column headings:
Date - Description - Part Number - Odometer Reading - Notes
Keep a record of any work that you do, and keep it with the rest of the bike's paperwork, together with any receipts. ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)
