Over christmas, I was told i had to clad the front of our house an to do next doors aswell (my mrs had already asked the neighbour)

so got the boards delivered an fitted all the boards, now the majority is done, just need to finish off around the windows etc. but im stuck on what to do at the bottom of the cladding.

Before the cladding, both houses had tiles on the front of them, some where missing etc it was a mess anyways at the bottom of the tiles was like a wooden ledge - im guessing it was used as a bit of a run off for the rain

https://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c81/mudcow007/cladding_zpszs1auwer.jpg

i have left the ledge on, but cant really figure how to cover it in UPVC without it looking terrible.

Ideally i need something with a 90 degree angle but deep enough to cover the ledge if that makes sense!?

Or just use a straight length of basic plain board an silicone/ seal it to the bottom cladding board.

Some lead flashing perhaps.
A narrow roll is reasonable cost and easily formed into awkward corners.

I reckon that will be a ball ache as its attached to all the stud work on the front of the house

I think the quick an easy (ghetto way) is to cover it in plastic an hopefully never need to touch it

updates to follow

As Doggone suggests, I'd go with a lead flashing strip if you want something that's low maintenance. Run it 20-40mm up behind the bottom board and then forward and down. A sort of Z shape. Then seal along the bottom of that board onto the lead.

If you get water creeping back up and onto that stud work it'll rot out.

Is the wooden ledge sticking out past the cladding? If so I would be tempted to remove that and baton underneath the bottom run of cladding to force the very bottom run out a touch more than the rest of the cladding.
If the ledge is sticking out past the cladding it could potentially act as a shelf to hold water on, and if the wind is blowing straight towards it you could end up with water making its way into yours, or your neighbors house.
With the baton on the underneath of said cladding, you can always cut a strip of cladding and tack it to the baton then use one silicone to seal the bit closest to your house, you just need to make sure that the baton is up high enough so that when you clad it there is nothing sticking out past the bottom run of cladding.
Hope that helps.

It needs to be retained in some form, it's the kicker to throw water away from windows and brickwork.

That was my whole point of pushing the bottom piece of cladding out a bit further than the rest, it creates a kicker and doesn't allow anywhere for water to pool. Don't get me wrong I'm no expert in cladding. I'm a mason by trade, but looking at it logically and what I've seen on cladding around here, I have never seen a shelf at the bottom of any cladding.

You'd think cameras hadn't been invented. I can't tell (much of anything) from your pic of course, but UPVC Fascia
board 90 degree (cheap, lightweight, easy to fix, easy to cut, widely available in a range of sizes) is what I'd
recommend, find a local suppler of UPVC products and I'll be surprised if they don't have this or something similar
in stock on the shelf and ready to buy. Something like this.
