The Suzuki TL1000 motor it uses should be pretty bullet proof. That's all I know.

Engine makes more sense in this chassis than the original.

So if you're into that sort of things, a reasonable choice.

Wouldn't consider it particularly 'big' however!

As per my sig I have a V Raptor (the one with he silly horns on the front)
TL engine is (IMHO) the best of the big V's Very civilized and smooth if a bit lumpy at very low revs. Its not the full fat 120 bhp of the Suzuki offering, but, as Rolls Royce would say the power is adequate. Only engine weakness is the water-pump seal easy and cheap to to do. Easy diagnostics too not that I've had to do anything to it in the last two years. Fuel consumption is... a bit tasty.
The chassis is actually pretty damn good, nowhere near as bulky as Suzuki make, but then, it is made by MV Agusta, they know a few things about chassis. Brembos, Paoli (sp?) forks, low saddle, very, very chuckable.
No electrical glitches whatsoever, I think the loom is actually Japanese.
I used to think it looked a bit outlandish, but the more I see modern designs, the more normal it looks.
Got mine when it was a steal, prices have now started to rise with a bit of a vengeance. Buy with reasonable confidence.

I don't like twins generally... but when the alternative is a bandit 650, especially a 'heavily customised' one... do it! Razz
