Street Triple Purchase... Repost

I've posted this in the New Riders section but posting in here too so I can get a bit more visibility and hopefully more replies.

Went into a dealer yesterday to look at a street triple. There it was looking all sexy... 2010, 11k miles... 4 owners...

Now as this is my first bike I'm looking for advice. If I was getting a car with 4 owners I'd walk away. Is this different for bikes? It comes with full service history.

Anything else to look out for and/or ask while I'm about it...?

I have been made aware from people on here about the 12k service and they have stated the bike will be fully serviced prior to collection and mot'd etc.

Personally, four owners over 5 and coming up to 6 years wouldn't bother me.

There could be a number of reasons for the bike having four keepers. One of which could be that the first owner was a dealership and it was pre-registered with them for use as a demo bike. Also, some people just choose to change bikes on a regular basis.

As long as the services have been carried out when required, it is in good condition and most importantly that you like it, then be the 5th owner!

I currently have a vehicle with over 15 owners. It doesn't really matter unless 13 of those were retards.

I think my bike has 11 previous owners? And the last one never registered the V5 so isn't counted on there.

my triple has had 5 owners previously since 2008, is in good nick and has a full service history. Long as you ask the right questions and you are happy with the answers...

At that age I wouldn't be bothered by 5 or 6 owners, lots of people tend to only keep a bike for a year or so. With the full service history you know its been maintained to some extent as well.
I think the service history becomes more important on an older bike with lots of owners as if its only been owned for a short while by each person they are probably less likely to get major maintenance jobs done than somebody who owns it long term.

2013+ got the immobilizer, along with the revised styling and i still had mine chained up with an Almax
