Personally, four owners over 5 and coming up to 6 years wouldn't bother me.

There could be a number of reasons for the bike having four keepers. One of which could be that the first owner was a dealership and it was pre-registered with them for use as a demo bike. Also, some people just choose to change bikes on a regular basis.

As long as the services have been carried out when required, it is in good condition and most importantly that you like it, then be the 5th owner!

I currently have a vehicle with over 15 owners. It doesn't really matter unless 13 of those were retards.

I think my bike has 11 previous owners? And the last one never registered the V5 so isn't counted on there.

my triple has had 5 owners previously since 2008, is in good nick and has a full service history. Long as you ask the right questions and you are happy with the answers...

At that age I wouldn't be bothered by 5 or 6 owners, lots of people tend to only keep a bike for a year or so. With the full service history you know its been maintained to some extent as well.
I think the service history becomes more important on an older bike with lots of owners as if its only been owned for a short while by each person they are probably less likely to get major maintenance jobs done than somebody who owns it long term.

I'd be more bothered about security, they're about as easy to steal as a ford cortina or a 350LC

Has this not been rectified in later models?

Disk Lock and Chains not the way forward?

Later yes. 2010 is wank and can be stolen in under 10 seconds.

Almax and something solid is ideal. Would never use a disk lock. Failing to remember one being on is a few hundred quid in repairs.

Could buy an immobiliser and/or alarm for £30 and get the bug eye.

Gearing, rake + trail are all different on the >=2013 model to make the bike slightly less flighty in the bends and less wheelie happy on the straights. More reasons to go bug eye Smile
