What difference is there between these jackets? I want to use it in rain and cold weather and maybe for the summer. What's the best pick?

In my experience waterproof gear works to an extent.
I always seem to get wet around the lower stomach/crotch.
You may aswell get a jacket you like/want and wear waterproofs over the top shouldn't cost anymore than £20.

Layer up is best for being warm and for wind protection I can't offer any help there.

Not tried these jackets. Leather is usually wind and waterproof, except the stretchy bits (wet crotch). My old A* jacket was quite good, it was leather with no stretchy bits. Cold in winter without layers.

Avoid cheap (< £600) textiles unless you have seen a good review, only the inner lining is waterproof, most the outer will get soaked, as will the pockets.

Zips are important. A* are usually good, dianeese are shit. If zip fails, throw it away..

I have the Andes and is very warm. Don't have the liner in most of the time. It's a great fit and well put together jacket.. Never been down the road in it tho so could be shit in a crash for all I know!

Someone did a review on her once after riding back from France in the pouring rain and wearing the Andes 2 piece and was bone dry.
