Hi all thought there might be a plumber out there or even someone who works for a plumers merchants.

I bought a house recently and paid extra for a Mira Jump 9.5 kw shower instead of an 8kw one, theres nothing on the unit to say whether I have actually got the 8 or the 9.5kw shower. Anyone tell me how I find out? The more I get to know the builder the more I doubt he'd done what I asked and not just charged me the extra. Appreciate any advice.

Not a plumber.

But taking the front cover off usually exposes details on a plate.

Hi,

I work for Mira,

No chance the box is still kicking about? that would of had the markings on the end of it

Give the customer service a call if its not obvious: 01242 262888

They have PIP (product info pages) which will clarify exactly how to check

From memory once its on the wall the only way to check would be to isolate power and remove the cover (should be a label on the tank)

Label is usually on the tank of both Mira and Triton showers. I've installed one or two in my time.
It's usually two cross head screws on the top to remove cover and one on the bottom. Obviously, isolate electricity supply before
removing cover
, you'll probably find the cover is attached by a connector attached to a flat ribbon style wire.
So don't just assume cover will just come right away from the wall mounted unit, remove it carefully, you
should see what you need to see without disconnecting the cover from the main unit but if you do the wire should
unclip easily. Once the cover is off don't turn any of the dials until it's refitted or the temp wont match actual dial position.
