Unsurprisingly, also my first thought. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Why would the date matter? Just pro-rata the month's rent, so if you're paying 800pcm on the 1st and move out on the 14th, 400 cover's the 2 weeks you rented.
As above though, check your tenancy agreement. It'll rarely (never) round-up in your favour unless it's in the landlord's interest for it to. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

As others have already said, read your tenancy agreement, it will state it in there. Those are the terms you signed, those are the terms both sides stick to.
Also, if you are on an AST, or periodic tenancy (after the initial term) you give 1 months notice, the landlord must give 2 months by serving a S21 notice.
If they've been messing you around, you might want to check that your deposit has been properly protected. Would be a very useful bargaining chip if it's not in order... ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |
