It's a Suzuki Intruder (ho ho). 125 or 250cc. The Marauder was the cheaper single cylinder model.

It's wrong, I know, but I quite like it too Embarassed

Yeah I noticed that last night too. The subtle styling differences make all the difference. Ruddy beautiful for a 125 Shocked

Stop listening to that Classic Rock station immediately, cancel the order for the leather chaps, go out and ride the CBR, don't mention this perverse fetish again.

Took a test ride of a Harley once. I'd sooner have my own mum spit in my mouth while she masturbates than ride another.

Looks similar to the xv535 if you want a grown up version.

Can't say these types of bikes appeal to me. I might be tempted to get a harley if I had a lottery win but would use it maybe once a year.
Certainly would not be my main bike.

I was just thinking in addition to the CBR, not something big or heavy, just one for a lazy laid back ride when you don't want to be on the boil all the time, on a summers evening, admiring the landscape rather than the constant process of information at break neck speed. Then back home to a nice tofu and quinoa salad and Sex In The City boxset

Or the W800/Guzzi V7..

I'd have one for lazy rides if I could justify yet another bike.

Those who mock cruisers should have a go on one. The small ones, at least, can be quite pleasant little things to amble around on.

I was one of the scoffers until I owned a little Honda Rebel 250. Quite unexpectedly I loved it, although I was less keen on the vibration the engine churned out. I did also catch myself admiring my reflection in a shop window once Embarassed

I sat behind a rather nice Honda Shadow on a ride out for some miles. Made a lovely noise

I never really used to mock them.

But having ridden a Harley from Vegas to the Grand Canyon and another from San Fran to LA, I can safely say I wont be buying a cruiser style bike ever.

Heavy, boring, uncomfortable, slow, shook me to death blah blah blah...

Perhaps the Jap tiddlers are a different breed, but leaning back feels so unnatural anyway. So nooooo thank you.

Ever since I bought a ''Superbike'', everything that is not purposely made sports motorcycle feels unstable, underpowered (both engine and brakes) and wobbly. The moment I buy a ZX10R, I won't turn back. Don't take me wrong, I still like classic motorcycles and I will buy one again, but not as my no. 1 motorcycle.

The worst thing I've ever been on, was FMX 650. I've never felt so much lack of confidence on a motorcycle before. You know the wheels are there on the tar and that the brakes will slow you down eventually, but you (I) had no idea of what was going on under me, no feedback from the wheels what so ever. Thumbs Down
So, I doubt I'd like a cruiser, although I've never been on one and the moment I get a chance, I will have a go, just to know what I'm ''missing''.

I don't mind cruiser styling at all, quite like some of them, however:-

1) The words "just been out on the Intruder" should be enough to put anyone off.

2) Buying a 125 Cruiser is a bit like wanting a Rottweiler and ending up with a Pug

Simple answer, learn to control your throttle hand Thumbs Up In this country, on the kind of roads where the landscape is worth slowing down to admire, a cruiser is the last thing I'd want to be on.
