Looks like they could be on to something in Ghana:

Quote:
ANGRY townfolks in Dzodze nearly chopped off the left arm of a man who stole a motor-bike

I've edited this so the image doesn't appear in the post. Yes it is gory. I feel a hotlink would have sufficed. - stinkwheel

I've edited the post so the image only appears as a hotlink on the basis it's pretty gory and not the kind of thing I personally want just to appear in front of me while at work. Warning or not.

I was expecting that to end in a punchline, like "but the financial downturn has made profits a bit choppy, so he needs to sharpen his business model"

Yesterday there was a story about a bike thief being killed by a mob in Cambodia. But I didn't bother posting that because there were no pics.

No suspects had been arrested as of Sunday afternoon and Pur Senchey police were not looking to arrest anyone, he said, explaining that the case had been handed over to Ang Snuol district police officials.

However, Mean Samnang, Ang Snuol district police chief, said his officials were only searching for an accomplice in the motorcycle theft who had managed to escape the mob

If bike thieves here were liable to be stoned until they're an unrecognisable blob of goo - I dare say insurance premiums would be a damn sight lower.
