I was there that year. They do a similar thing at the F1 in Melbourne, but with a staggered start.

how race prepped was stoners bike? seems to pretty much a road bike vs 2 race prepped cars. make me wonder what would happen if dropped a race prepped machine in the mix, or a modern moto gp bike

Bit of an unfair race, but, interesting to see the road bike get away from the F1 car at the start.

F1 car would always win though.

That wasn't a full bore start from Webber. You can see him change up after about 1 car length.

Obviously a scripted finish too, to get them over the line together.
