Hi i bought a KAISER XTR 125 as a project and have replaced the carburator and throttle cable, coil pack, spark plug. But when i start the bike up it revs its tits off and have to hit the kill switch fast. Anybody know what the problem could be or what im doing wrong

Sounds like your carb slide is sitting on top of the idle screw. Pull it out and reinsert, following this sage advice :-

As above the slider sounds like it's the wrong way around. when you put it in, it should drop down to a point it takes littler effort to screw the cap on. I am guessing you had to push down with some effort to get the cap on.
