I have just changed jobs, i work in an office and in my old job i wore Black biker jeans with a shirt and nobody said anything.

However my new job is stricter and i have to wear formal trousers with a shirt (no tie necessary though)

My daily routine now is get my shirt and trousers on, pull buffalo over trousers on and biker jacket and biker boots.

Get to work, go to the toilets and change everything including footwear.
its getting in my nerves to be honest :/

Its bad enough with the usual routine of unlocking 7 bloody padlocks etc to get the bike out lol

Does anyone know of any biker trousers that fit the bill?
Or something i might get away with anyway

Ive googled... but not having much luck.

Dude the only females near you, with wet knickers have probably pissed themselves.

I've got to change at work if in car or bike into my work clothes.

Just get used to it.

Or aerostich roadcrafter do a a one piece suit that is meant to be quick to put on/off. Very expensive and stupid vat/import tax. Not sure if another company does similar.

The Hoods would be my choice. It's an obvious gap in the market. though.

"Have to" is strong medicine. Tough it out for a while, then just flat out ask if solid black jeans would result in a disaster for the company. Unless you're dealing directly with customers, and ones with a very old fashioned expectation at that, it's unlikely.

Just buy some slightly bigger bike trousers, and wear them on top of your trousers.

Ever since I replaced pies for salad, I can now wear my jeans under my bike trousers, which makes getting changed at work a fair bit quicker.

I carried out a semi-scientific test of the crash worthiness of jeans, by throwing my bike at a curb while doing 20mph. I can confirm that jeans offer about as much protection as cling film, or tissue paper

I do this, it takes less than a minute so I don't see the issue. Work trousers on underneath textiles > boots off > textile trousers off > work shoes on > done. Faffing around with jackets, snoods, earplugs, helmet, gloves, backpack etc. takes much longer anyway.

I faced this quandary a number of years ago. I very quickly bought a car.

The car is extremely useful and convenient for many reasons, not least escape from Winter misery and peril. And I enjoy biking far more because it's purely recreational. So, that would be my recommendation.

Some of the motorcycle boots at Motolegends, might just look formal enough? Not cheap though.

Brogue style boots for example. Or must it be shoes?

My employer lets me wear bike boots and draggin jeans, on the odd occassion I need to ride in, fortunately.

You could have just tied yourself to a car bumper and spared your bike, but to each his own Karma However it was these that OP found I was referring to..

Another alternative is to wear your formal trousers on the bike and try not to fall off.

I'd been riding bikes for a good four or five years before I owned a pair of "proper" bike trousers. Fell off a good few times too with nothing worse than skinned knees.

Even now I wear bike trousers more for protection from cold than anything else.

I looked into this as well and don't like the formal versions I found. They just looked terrible. Really, really bad.

So I do the same as you - pull on Dainese trousers over my formal trousers.

OP mentioned "biker" jeans; I can confirm that I was suggesting a kevlar lined and armoured trouser. Otherwise he might as well stinkwheel it and just ride in the office togs.

I have a slightly oversize pair of textile bike trousers that i wear over jeans or formal trousers. They work better with cheap non creasing trousers than really nice trousers. That said i've ridden for 3 hours in those and my evening suit trousers. Parked up, bike jacket offn, shirt on over my motorcycle baselayer. Tie and cufflinks, shaken the creases out of my jacket. Baby wipe to hands, face and neck, spray of whatever expensive man-perfume mother bought me for christmas. Packed bikewear into luggage. Walked around corner, meeting relatives at theatre for ballet, and nobody catching on that i'd come on the bike untill someone bought me a drink afterwards.

If we say a minute and again at the end of the day; that's maybe 8 hours a year.
Not a massive amount, but all adds up.

I've had the Hood jeans and happy with them.
Also consider a road crafter one piece suit - if I went up in the lift (two floors), it'd be on/off in the time it takes to get up there.

Or, with panniers colleagues didn't realise I rode a motorcycle for the first couple of months because they were off and stored in them, so I was wearing 'normal' clothes (apart from boots rather than shoes.)

I have to wear overalls all day because man job.

a couple of things that helped me

1. got shoes that I can wear with my work trousers (one less thing to take off)
2. get trousers that are protective and zip on and off easily. I plumbe for Aerostich but they are eye wateringly expensive (even 6 years ago when I got mine). However there are a few more people who offer full lenght zips e.g alpinestars etc.
3. change at my desk as all I am doing is the equivalent of taking off my coat (albeit a coat split into 2 bits - top and bottom)

Could you suggest some?

I wouldn't mind some trousers that I can pull on and off while keeping my boots on.

Many times that would be useful, like have you ever tried to go for a poop in a public toilet with bike trousers down your ankles?

Plus I could stick the trousers in my back pack if popping into town.
