Suzuki rear light

Last year i thought i`d you know replace the old red rear light with one of those posh clear ones.
So i did, direct replacement it said, so i swapped it over , not an easy job as the whole of the rear of the bike has to come off, mud guard as well.
Anyway i put up the the bulbs not lasting anytime at all & when the mot became due i ripped the lights off the bike to find whats going on & it all becomes clear.
