I'd consider the MT09 Tracer for my next bike, but not this MT07 version. BHP seems a little low.

Having said that, I've never ridden one...

I wonder if it comes with PR4s as standard.

I rather like it. I found the MT-07 somewhat uncomfortable to sit on but it might have been a tougher choice if those things were available.

My main thought is that Kawasaki and Suzuki have been caught out again, gouging punters for £450 / £700 more for the equivalent Versys and V-Strom. Let's see if they drop their prices like they had to do when the MT-07 came out.

The RRP on suzuki's website for the 650 strom is ignored by most dealers.
They offered me a 2015 demo bike (600 ish miles) for 5K, and pre-regged new ones for 5.5.

I think we all know that, but it still forms an anchor price for haggling on a new bike.

They dropped the SFV650 list price to match the MT-07 pretty sharpish, as did Kawasaki with the ER6.

It's quoted at 75 but dynos of the MT07 have shown it produce this at the rear wheel. So for once maybe the manufacturer isn't listing crank power.

This - I've been debating updating my MK1 Versys for the new MK3 version - Best price I can get from a local dealer is @ £6800 OTR (I want to buy local if I can), if I want a few bells and whistles i.e. the GT version then it goes over £8k!

I'm glad I haven't yet made a decision as I can now wait until the Tracer 700 comes out and take it for a ride, it may be great in which case i'll probably buy it, or if it's not at least it should make Kawasaki trim their prices on the Versys a bit

Larger tank and screen looks attractive. A bit worrying about seat height of 845mm. I want to sit on it if I have a chance.

I found this a little interesting:

top is thrust to weight based on the same gearing, the bottom one is based on the same in-gear top-speed.[/img]
