I had a motion detector bike alarm that was mounted like that and a similar size... it took a bit of a pounding and ended up snapping and taking the plate with it!

I got 2 points for failing to display as I recall Laughing

I see it functions as an effective Time Capsule from 1999.

Indeed, some rear mudguards and number plate holders are only designed to take the weight of a number plate. Add anything else and they shake themselves to pieces after a while.

May be an idea to check the Scottoiler website. If they say your bike can take the Touring version of the Scottoiler then it should handle this storage box.

For instance Scottoiler say that my CBF1000 isn’t compatible with the number plate mounted reservoir, but I took the risk and, while it works fine, it’s shaken my rear tray a bit loose (oo er missus) and I guess it will eventually wobble it’s way to the afterlife. However it’s seen daily use for 4 years so far…..

Never heard of that one before, hardly your fault the plate fell off, happens all the time even to cars.
