Anyone managed to do this and could point me in the right direction?

Tried the comparison websites and the only result was bennets for £1600 Shocked That compared to the £300 if I say I have a full licence. Also tried asking my current insurer and they said they couldn't quote me at all until I'd passed my test

I managed to insure a 600cc bike on a provisional for £180 (and used it for my MOD 2).

Phone a couple of insurance companies and explain that you want to use your own bike for lessons and test(s)

Tried Bikesure? That's the usual recommendation.

....So at least £200 if not more to use a faggot 'training schools' bike assuming you pass first time around....

I didn't pass the MOD 2 first time, I kept the insurance policy running though as I got to use the bike for "lessons".

Passed the second time, removed the L plates and contacted the insurance company to let them know I no longer needed the insurance on a provisional etc.

To the OP, this was 2011 and I got the insurance from Dial Direct
