Mx steering dampers?

Hi a freind of mine recently Brought a crf450 and it was fully blinged up by previous owner who raced it, noticed this bike has a steering damper and decided i want/need one of these as i do alot of road riding on nobblys, ive had a little scan through the net but not really seen no info on these, has he made it custom or am i looking in the wrong places to buy one bike i want it for is 2014 ktm 450 sxf

Three companies appear to make rotary steering dampers that fit under the handlebars.

Scotts
GPR
Ohlins

And then there is the Honda derived damper from their motocross range.Race-Tech in the USA now do kits that upgrade these dampers so that they can be adapted for other makes of bikes Thumbs Up
