Calm down, it's only an internet forum.

The former was OTT dramatics precisely because this is the intarwebs, the latter is technically true.
However I stand by my assertion, I spend an unhealthy amount of time browsing here and a slightly less unhealthy amount of time posting, I enjoy the wide array of madness.
BCF also has a lot of helpful members in the Workshop (Vincent was one of them)

Neither myself or another member should have the right to censor this place out of what amounts to being offended, PC nonsense!

Sensible shit

I used to view BCF at work on lunches etc, but I do remain convinced that people take their chances if they do.
I spend a lot of time on here, but I can wait until I'm home so I know I won't get in shit at work.

I very much doubt Vincent would be begging for his account back Confused

I've no doubt he gave a lot more than he took from the site and am sure generated a lot of traffic too..... free of charge, not a penny from Google!

I'd fully expect him to be thinking "meh, their loss".... and he'd be right!

Is it really unreasonable to hope that long established members with and good posting history such as Vincent get a least a tiny bit of leeway? Banning him for a minor infraction meant with no malice is a dick move and does not benefit the forum in the slightest.

Is it really unreasonable to hope that a long established member who knows the rules and has witnessed them applied could control themselves and not break them?

Notice a lot a poop and personal attacks get levelled at the mods for actually enforcing the rules as the gist seems to be that some dont feel it should apply to them or a bit of wiggle room should be available.

The ONLY way you can have an account un-banned is to ask korn nicely (an appology for the behaviour that got you banned and an undertaking not to repeat it would probably be among the definition of "nicely") because he is the only person with the admin privelages necessary to un-ban an account once the hammer has fallen.

I want Vincent back even though I disagree with him, but it is up to him.

Even when no favourtism is shown, people claim favouritism.
If someone complains about one person and they don't get the specified action taken, others do try and do the same and accept to have their free-strike instead of punishment too, regardless of the situation.

Google adbot doesn't care about karma, just about fleshtones. The hosting bills don't pay themselves.

And really, all he had to do was to hold his hand up and say sorry. How hard is that?
