Hi there. I'm going to look at a bike today. It's a v reg bike, but is showing as being registered in 2014. I've done a vehicle check and it hasn't been an insurance write off or an import apparently. Any idea what's going on? [/list]

Probably just that somebody transferred that plate on - a "private" plate may not appear anything special to anybody but the original owner (e.g. the random three letters could be his initials rather than a word).
