Depends on how heavy and the speed.

Above about 50-60 the visor will clear just from the wind with a left-right motion of the head every so often.

between 20 and 50, you either wait until the water load on your visor gets so excessive that it automatically follows gravity or use the back of your gloved thumb as a wiper.

Below 20 you just crack the visor open half way so that you can see under it

Depends on the type of rain and how fast youre going. Laughing

I put turtle wax on my visor and the water just beads right off at anything above sorta 20mph-ish.

What I find worse than rain, is shitty road spray from vehicles in front, because its a nasty fine mist that sticks all over your visor, and normally full of mud/salt/other assorted road grime that smears all over your visor.

If you fill the bath, put a helmet on, duck your head under the water and open your eyes it will give you a fair idea.

Apparently, it's not the done thing if you dance naked in it.

Wanking during a thunderstorm in the high street really makes people look nervous.....

Maybe years of BCF spammers and the like have made me cynical. Razz
My experience is with mid range lids which come with pinlock inserts that last for around 6 months then become worthless and fog up, then the rain is the least of your worries.

If I go out in the rain I get wet, my experience shared. For some of us sharing this kind of thing is not easy.

Funnily enough me too. There is nothing quite as surprising and depressing as when the first freezing cold wetness hits your balls and you know it's going to be that way until you can find something dry to wear. (EDIT: Obviously speaking in retrospect, Florida doesn't do cold Mr. Green )

One's sphincter tightens quite considerably when aquaplaning 1/4 tonne at 70(ish) Pale

Just kinda get used to it really. I used to be wiping my visor like it was some kind of OCD, "arrgh gotta clear it gotta clear it" but after a few years of all weather riding day in day out; meh.

You adapt to it eventually and give it a flick every so often if a wagon goes hurtling past and sprays shit in your face.

The worst is riding in the dark, raining and at 20-30 mph in traffic with street lights. Kinda get used to riding semi-blind though and matching my speed to the two red blobs from whatever is in front. Just watch out when those two red blobs get brighter, sometimes joined by a third in the middle.

Scratches on the visor of your lid make it even better. Wink
