Rebuilding the carbs on my GK73A this weekend, my spare set of carbs had waisted needles like this.

Have these been modified to increase airflow or possibly could be race kit needles?

Those needles guarantee at least 6 more horsepower in your powerband regardless of colour.

They look distinctly worn where they have been in the throttle slide.

The consequences of the needle snapping off and the engine ingesting them is not a nice thought Shocked Thumbs Down

I know. It was a troll post to see if any idiots here actually thought needles should look like that. Needless to say a reasonable set of SP needles and tubes have gone in.

That was just wear from the slide! What mileage had they done and what were the slides like?

Carbs these came from were in a box of spares so zero idea of history, but it's fair to say the donor bike was not a cosseted one owner device!
