Hi all,

New to this forum - I have a 2000 model XVS 650 Custom. I am looking for a new exhaust for it 'harley type' noise...

Anyone got any suggestions were I can buy one?

Be careful, you will mess up the fuelling if you go with a much more open exhaust system and toast your engine, so budget for a rejet. Best to talk to a localish independent that sees the occaisonal cruiser. You might be looking at time on the dyno.

However, a 650 yamaha 75 degree twin will never sound like a 45 degree twin twice the size. This isn't me being mean. I owned an XV for a few years and loved it until the day the engine siezed. I had a motad stainless exhaust which sounded deeper than stock but was still quite quiet, but I didn't need to mess with the fueling.
