It's the wrong bike for those tyres, and I've never climbed over any big logs or waded rivers with a 17'' front wheel or a low under the engine exhaust.

I'll say no more, as there's a thread about a Honda/Ducati/Yamaha where I bitch moaned about all the same shit, and Rog had to step in and tell me I was seriously missing the point!

You are seriously missing the point. It's not meant to be practical, it's meant to attract the Hipster pound.

Of all the sports bikes sold, how many get to the track?
Of all the adventures bikes sold, how many get to the wilderness?
Of all the cruiser bikes sold, how many get to the Blue Oyster bar? - always one exception.

Bikes are a styling exercise for 90% of people who buy them and that's if they get out of a garage more than once a month.

Ah, but the road isn't necessarily unlike the track. See IOM.

The road is unlike off-road.

I'm quite happy to avoid liking or buying any bike that has knobblies and twin front discs with radial 4pot calipers fitted.

Just what you want on a road bike eh?
It's a struggle to use the power of a 50bhp single on the road on those tyres without it squirming around or sliding the back end. Its the same with trying to throw it around tight corners and use the masses of ground clearance to its full advantage.

Totally pointless bike unless you replace the tyres for road use, or the wheels and most of the rest of the bike for adventure or off road use.

Socket, this is your gay faggot hipster bike, not a charming retro roadster you called out fag before.

I'd imagine those are the "concept" tyres, but it'll sell with something a bit more usable on it.

In a way though fair play to Shoreditch pound though. They are able to shape the direction of motorcycle design and development for UK market machines where as the rest of us can't.

Japan cannot make any bikes that are deliberately designed to suit British road riders wants, because it's not viable for them globally and this little island doesn't buy enough bikes to be noticed anyway.
