I would have made sure I didn't get caught.

I wouldn't have threatened them beforehand, I wouldn't have done it somewhere I would be seen, I wouldn't have stopped to gloat afterwards and I would have told nobody I had done it. Ever.

I may have made an anonymous phone call to the ambulance to tell them there had been an accident if someone looked like they had serious injuries.

I'd also have made sure there was no obvious damage to my car or parts left at the scene. Even if that meant crashing it into a ditch "on my way back" from somewhere else. Although the ideal would be to chase them until they crashed of their own accord.

I have found myself driving round looking for one of my motorbikes with a pickaxe handle horse twitch on the passenger seat of the car before today.

If thieving little cunts like these begin to suspect that they will get hurt by pissed off victims then maybe they'll think twice about doing it.

I don't think they'll get anything custodial. Sad

I just found it interesting because of this comment:
Quote:
Ms Kidd said that Mr Gatenby had not sought to contact police to alert them to the bike theft and was seeking to resolve matters himself.

And with all the bike thefts in Edinburgh.... and probably everywhere else in the UK.... what do the police actually do in those situations?

"OK, thanks for letting us know your bike has been stolen"

Actually heard of a number of bikes being recovered. Personally had he battered all of them individually I wouldn't have an issue, I do have a bit of an issue with people using their vehicles as a weapon however.

I know quite a few people who have worked with various charities trying by one means or another to stop scheemies rampaging round Edinburgh stealing other peoples stuff.

Several of them have asked these kids what they think will happen if one day they steal a bike off the wrong person. They simply reply that "I'm under 16, polis cannae touch me eh?". The idea that someone might not call the police but instead go round their house and nail them to the floor* doesn't even register.

Those three on the bike knew for a FACT that the 'polis cannae chase us' because they're not wearing a helmet and that if they were caught, nothing would be done. I'm sure it never even occurred to them that there was someone out there more radge than they were.

*This is an actual thing. Not something I made up.

Bill you for impounding it. Arrest you for taking action.

A chum collared a ned who was cheerily setting fire to his garage. When Scotplod eventually turned up, they arrested him (not the ned) for "false imprisonment, but we'll let you off with a caution."

He quite rightly told them to stuff their caution and to pass it to the Fiscal, who - to my amazement and disgust - took it on and dragged him to court. Fortunately the Sheriff send them away with a bee in their ear, but the message from Scotplod was pretty clear that they have no truck with nonsense like "the police [are] only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence."

I'd have used a bigger vehicle than a ford focus, probably a transit van, pick my bike up and put it in the van, with the 3 unconscious go somewhere very remote, but their body parts on the bike, things in the chain, slowly, hot exhaust, slowly, fingers in spark plug hole, tied to trees and the bike, maybe cut a hole in one of their stomachs, if that doesn't work then I might try the eye socket. Would make sure they don't survive and the bodies don't show what happened, might burn them with petrol and keep the remains, or bury parts in different locations around the country and eat the most tasty looking bit on a disposable barbecue.

Sure they wouldn't learn a lesson but I'd have had a good time and feel like a super hero for cleaning up the world.

what would i have done? personally I wouldn't of done what this chap did, thats not who I am. However I understand why he did it and quietly fair play to him, little turds that do things like this and also things like this

https://metro.co.uk/2016/03/30/petition-to-change-appalling-dog-abusers-sentence-after-pair-are-spared-jail-5783929/

need to realise that there are consquences to their actions, and they can't just do what they like. As a race were supposed to be civilised, lets be honest though alot of mankind isn't,

I don't think there is a 'man smashing car into youths' section,

I wouldn't want anyone of them to die but I do like it when yobs are taught a lesson, as others have said I don't think the police would have done much if the bike was reported stolen,

A reminder to the little shit thieves that they are not untouchable

When the law stops being enforced, us 'norms' need a way of protecting ourselves and recovering our property. If the only way is to use force, then force needs to be used.

If the police do not want to get involved, the consequences are inevitable.

If I saw someone on my stolen bike and I was in a car, I would've knocked them off. All he did was hit them in his car and punch one of them in the face which is no biggie. Sure, a couple of them are now injured but one little tap with a car and a punch in the face is nothing.

I initially thought this was going to be a follow up on the chap who did a similar rammy thing in his Land Rover Discovery. I'm sure there was a thread on that one when it was first reported.
It would be interesting to hear the rest of the back story, like how he knew who had taken the bike and whether he'd lost any bikes before.
I'm happy that the scrotes received some form of justice. Actions have consequences.

Have been saying it for years that motorcycle crime has been decriminalised. What choices are we left with when the people we pay to protect us and our property do fuck all? Really good to see someone fighting back and maybe if the law and the morons that dish it out actually had any notion of justice the scum that stole the bike would be the people in court. Sick working my arse off to pay tax so that the scum can get the protection of the law while me and people like me are ignored.

It's like that in every walk of life though, even from school you're taught that if you are the worst in class you get a helping hand and if you are top of the class you get the teachers affection. All of us norms in the middle are left to our own devices and become another faceless piece of furniture in the room that no one looks twice at. You can't get the teachers on side if you need their help but you step out of line just a tiny bit they pounce on you and give full whack punishment when others are far worse but get away with it because the teachers just become accustomed and numb to their antics and expect it constantly.

It's like that in real life too, except the teachers are now the government, the police and other figures of authority.

Mind you, don't those new fangled Ford focus's have all that pedestrian friendly soft bodywork for impacts like that? If it was me I would have used my Humber Sceptre with all the pointy bits and heavy chrome front bumper Twisted Evil
