The most obvious one to check is the large white connector behind the left fairing panel on the 4XV and the 5JJ

In the past the lower pins have become so corroded the only way to cure the problem was to hardwire the connection and to bypass the large white connector.
If there is any corrosion, try WD40 or contact cleaner in the first instance.
Also check the multi-pin connector onto the rectifier/regulator in front of the battery box.I have had the +12v output connector fry itself and there was no alternative than to replace the R/R unit, which is about £80.So best to check this as well.Clean and use silicone grease to keep out any water ____________________ Just talk bikes. What else is there?
