Got a new exhaust today, and looking at it, there is a little blob in the opening (see picture). In terms of diameter its maybe 0.5-1mm in width, depth and height.

There is also a bit of a lip as well. Do I need to file this off before fitting it (along with the raggedy edges)?

Where is the rating button for 'shit photo' when it is needed?

That 'looks' like metal wadding or is is just shite quality sheet metal?

It won't affect the airflow too much but may produce a whistle. Smile

Fortunately that button is not extant Razz.
It is certainly not wadding, it's part of the metal that the end is made of. It's raining anway, so I can spend a productive afternoon filing it.

I might be a little more anal if it were being fitted to a high performance machine but doubt if I'd bother doing anything to it if fitting to a CB500 or the like.

Not even that, it's for my CG125. I ground it smooth with the dremel and the slightly different dimensions don't seem to have made any difference (that I can tell anyway).
