Hi all,

Just updating with some caliper pics..

Got filters and line and pads and stuff, then got rained off.. but got plugs, air filter replaced and rear caliper stripped and rebuilt.. the old hynes mannual tells me to remove the carbs to replace the airfilter.. wtf? Didn't need to touch the carbs with the tank off.

I drilled the caliper to get the pins out, do the fronts and line tomorrow, then I'll have a look at tge big fun off hole in tge collector box, that blew through yesterday on way home.. Neutral

Caliper drilled (bit scruffy but it's not for show and it's Saturday..)

The pics are obviously the wrong way around, posting from phone is tough.

I'm somewhat confused as to why you had to drill them out. Did these callipers come with blind holes for the pins?

Given the above photo. I really hope so. Because if that drilling was done with pilot holes already there, I'd have to assume the OP did it after returning from the pub.

Lol, drunk in charge of drill.. Wasted

I have nothing to mitigate the state of those holes..mi got a set of nice punches, but only had a 5mm bit to hand, getting a 2mm for the pilot would have being helpful..

Also the pins are into blind holes.. I missed the pin by a mil or so, so had to error machine round it a bit.. Thumbs Up Embarassed
