Hi all,

Was hoping to do some more brain picking... I`ve had my 1982 CB125TDC running post top end rebuild going for a couple of hundred miles now and its been great (still running in). However I went to take it out yesterday after being sat idle for around a week and I could not get it started. After flattening the battery through failed start attempts I managed to start it first time after a recharge- great. However after I switched it off following a few minutes of running and having established it works I could not start it. It had a battery voltage 13.2v and it had a healthy spark on both cylinders with plenty of fuel flow. From reading other posts and looking at the Haynes manual it would appear the bike has two independent ignition circuits and I don't believe the timing has slipped, especially as it was able to start and ran normally. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Also had new air filters)
Thanks Very Happy

Quick update, got it started today and took it for a ride of around 15 miles, it was faultless. It would appear to start really easily when it`s still warm? Thanks for looking

when it`s in the off position there is no fuel flow, I was thinking I might drain the tank and remove the tap to make sure it isn`t getting jammed with dirt?

Run a pipe from the tap to a suitable container and observe for a day or so. On my x5 even a new tap was passing enougn to create mild flooding and difficult starting in a few days.
