Mixing packages from BT & VM

One of my perks at work is a free BT package (Internet, TV & phone) however, they don't do fibre in my area so there's no way I'm going to give up my cushy 30Mb VM fibre (soon to be 70) for 6Mb.

Is it possible to just get TV & phone from BT and Internet from VM? It seems like you need Internet & TV from BT, but VM I don't think so.

Just trying to save a couple of quid, £56 a month VM is charging us and the TV is absolute pants, it's barely any better than Freeview. The phone never ever gets used, the Internet is pretty good tho. All packages are Medium I think.

Looks like you can only get TV with their internet.

So given you get it for free. Get a new BT line installed for phone/internet/tv.
Then keep the virgin phone line and their internet.

Or if you have a old sat dish. Get a freesat box.

I assume you work for BT if you get it free, but as said, you can only get BT TV with BT broadband.

Mmm, I'm not really sure I see the problem. Keep the Virgin phone and broadband, install BT as well, use whichever service you prefer. They're coming through different wires, job done.

Aside, I dropped my VM TV package completely (and boy were they reluctant to let me do it) and I don't miss it at all. Between DVDs, Nexflix, Amazon Instant/Prime, iPlayer, C4, YouTube and PornHub there's far more content available than I could possibly watch. One of CaNsA's pïrateboxen would deliver even more for less.

I'm now a mission from the exchange and can get their infinity service. Surely you can sweet talk them to upgrade the shit pit locally then get 36/72 meg

You won't get a decent TV package on BT - it's linked to your BB and without Infinity - the options are basically Freeview. You can get the recordable box, but again... just recording freeview.
