I'd plug the bottle back in it's more reliable than buggering about with premix, as proven by your knackered bottom end.
Full rebuild, plug the oil pump back in and live happily ever after. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

Hi
No 'correct' mixture for 2 squeak oil on the H100 as it always came with a pump.
125ml in 5L is 40:1 ratio. Anything from 25:1 to 50:1 seems to be the ratios people chose when they decide to run premix. 40:1 is probably as good as any!
If you run premix then the engine is getting virtually no oil when the throttle is closed, which can be an issue if you shut the throttle at high revs.
On the H100 the main bearings tend to be a weak point. They tend to whine when on their last legs.
Well worth hunting out a replacement oil tank, pump, etc.
All the best

Why oh why would you 'buy it off a lad' who had bypassed the 2 stroke tank unless you got it for something cheaper than a black jack.
Do you not think Mr. Honda, in his infinite wisdom and R&D budget worked out the most reliable way to introduce the correct quantity of 2 stroke to an engine.
The stupidity is strong in this one. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

I appreciate everyone has to start somewhere and people are going to make mistakes. You have just spunked £325. Learn from it and move on. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Well.
First thing I'd check is for play on the crank by removing the left hand engine cover, getting hold of the flywheel (the circular bit that rotates) and seeing if it moves up and down, side-to side or in and out. It should only rotate. Any play/clunking in another direction is bad news.
If the main bearings are screwed, there could be play here. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
