help needed with mopeds

can someone tell me if they have had any experience of the piaggio zip and the mbk ovetto(yam neos rep).

No experience with the Neos, but the Zip is a decent enough ped, with a very tuneable engine and it weight sod all so is a great racer when tuned up. I'm not that keen on the styling on the standard one, the SP version looks a bit nicer. The engine in the SP is the Hi-per 2 pro and can put out over 20hp at the rear wheel if you have the money to spend.

Erm... in standard form the zip is pretty damn reliable and is one of the quicker peds when de-restricted due to its overall light weight and quick engine. When you begin to tune it it will go down a bit, but if you just mildly tune it ie decent mild tuned 70 kit and a pipe etc it should be fine for commuting (as long as it is set up properly)

ZIP is a very easy to maintain ped and would recommend. Not to mention the tuning potential of the machine. It's very light mind and can be a problem in side winds.

I think it was the spring in the throttle that snapped, I pulled the throttle back and I felt a snap and the bike came to a halt, the engine was still running mind.

It is being fixed right now. Smile
