So,
Symptom of a front tire going down...
The bike tries to dive into the turn.
That's exactly what I'm experiencing even after pumping the tire up Thinking

CBR600 F3,
has been layed up for a few months though,
tire has plenty of tread but slightly more worn on one side from roundaboutaboutabouts,
had plenty of fork butchery after a mare'ish fork seal a few months ago (so obviously fresh oil in one side) but rode fine in the weeks after...

Thoughts very much appreciated.

Best regards

As ridiculous as it sounds I haven't actually checked the back properly.

Gave it a poke, seemed firm and haven't thought much more about it...

Will get it on a gauge/pump just to be sure!

A tiney bit off topic but the front has a very slow leaky gash (spit test fail):

Can this be silly strung?

There is a silly string in there (doing fine) but this is more of a slash than the nail last time...

Is it likely to work again or are silly strings in gashes a no no?

Best regards.

Ps. Tire gone done pumped to pressure so its not low pressure causing the dive (at the front at least!).

They say not to do the front, I've never tried. I'd probably do it to get me home then bin it.

I'd be replacing it and I'm cheap. Front tyres going flat fast means insta fuck up. Back one not so much.

I might be late here, but always start with the valve check. It can get loose over time. Thumbs Up

How squared off is the front? I had the same symptom with my squared off Bridestones, I didn't really notice how bad it was until I had a new PR2 fitted, it was like a different bike.

Heaved said bike out again this evening and have discovered its only diving in one direction :-\
The one sided wear doesn't look terribly severe but I'm going to whack a new tire on there...
Good weathers coming and I'd rather not have insta'death in the back of my mind all day long as the tire has already been plugged once...

Will report back if it doesn't fix the problem for more head scratchin :-\
