For my 125 it's the same as Meef. My new custom pipe will be around £350, but also very sexual too!
I suppose having a 200cc top end, welded, machined and re-plated as well as having it ported and the head skimmed was the most expensive mod at £460, but not sure when I'll be fitting it yet, as it won't work with my new pipe, and 200cc pipes are like rocking horse shit.
Oops, forgot the £470 I dropped on a Wilbers shock. Best mod yet! Or was it the £180 for radial sticky road tyres?

I had a race-prepped, brand new Ducati 748. Ducati performance took off all the stuff that added weight, prepped it for the track and I had matching leathers with a Haga lid. I thought I looked the dogs and I would take Fogarty if only he was man enough to race me.
On my first ever track day on it, dropped it coming out of Charlies (Cadwell) and when I finally stopped bouncing, saw it sort of explode. There was actually a little mushroom cloud over the bike.
Since then, the most I've done is add a 12v charger and a screen. ____________________ FZR400 (blown engine), ZXR750 (blown engine), ZX6R (accident), CBR600 which had engine issues after which I learned to change gear..., CBR900, CBR924 (stolen), CB600, CB1300 (everything blew up), BMW K1300GT (written off, hit from rear while stationary), Bandit 1250 for a couple of months, Triumph Sprint ST 1050 (nicked) and somewhere in there, I wrote off a Ducati 748 at Cadwell.

£300 on an ebay engine to replace one I blew up
£250 on parts and machining to swap a ZZR1100 rear end (swingarm, wheel, brake, shock, & sprockets) onto my GPz900
Currently going through upgrading to a USD front end on my KLR that'll have cost me about £400 in parts & machining by the time it's done, £160 of that'll be just for the 320mm brake disc & caliper bracket ____________________ Well, I've wrestled with reality for 35 years, Doctor, and I'm happy to state I finally won out over it. - Elwood P. Went from used tyres to brand new ones, because the motorcycles I've owned were getting more and more faster. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

R1 fork conversion. And it wasn't even the forks themselves that made it expensive, as they came from eBay, complete with K Tech upgrade at about £250. But then there was the FZ8 top yoke, bottom yoke conversion, R1 front mudguard, taper roller steering bearings, ride height adjusters, custom length braided brake lines, handlebar risers. Added up to a fair bit, although still not silly money, and well worth it for the transformation in handling. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

There's a reason why I don't do mods Think I'm at £400+ in accident damage on this bike. I guess stuff like renthal bars & a tail tidy count, but that was replacing bent/broken bits. Only true mod would be a £10 o2 sensor eliminator, probably the best £10 I've spent... |

I got lucky. The fork conversion described above went originally on the previous bike, which I then stuffed into a hedge, doing much damage, but all these bits survived to be transferred over to the replacement bike
I suppose you could say my most expensive mod was a replacement bike for the R1 fork conversion ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Probably about £200's worth of extra stuff when I bought the Royal Enfield Classic Bullet 500 new - I had them change the CDI/carb/exhaust/sprocket and add a couple of chrome bits before I picked it up. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. I've not really dipped my toe in Bike modding yet. It all seems sooooo expensive for such little bits and pieces. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha
