Hi all,

new to the site and finding majority of the threads extremely useful in terms of advice and such especially when it comes to personal experience and reviews on bikes. Completely new to the motorbike scene and so this leads me to ask you lot of your opinions on the ole Yamaha SR 125. The reason im liking the SR is mainly because of the recommendations of Yamaha bikes, i really like the look of it as i prefer the style of cruiser type bikes and of course the average cost of one.

so yeah just let me know if you have any advice, experience or general tips !

Cheers

Hello. I did my first CBT on an SR125, I remember it being a very relaxed riding position. They're a very popular bike and there doesn't seem to be many complaints about them Thumbs Up

We had one as a training bike. We still miss it. We only retired her because she was getting old. The guy who bought her is still riding around on her.

Seems a reasonable enough choice, but if you have a limited budget, don't restrict yourself to looking for just one bike. CG, YBR, whatever comes up in budget in good running condition with a year's MOT on it.

Marmite bike, I personally hate it. Slow... even by 125 standards, all are old & tired by now. I'd only have one if it was very very cheap.
