I'm surprised that there is not a thread about this already, are you betting this year? If so which horse are you backing?

victor also were giving a £5 casino token. After wagering mine turned into £125 which offset the £125 I had on B365 (£250 - £125 refund).

So I currently have £250 on the national with £0 cost to myself. Plus a few others kicking around.

From a straight gambling point of view, I've just used my £10 loyalty bonus from B365 on Many Clouds.

Not gonna chuck my own money at it, as it literally could be anyones - if I was gonna stick £5 on a horse I'd do it on a more calculated basis.

From a matched betting point of view I've got about 23 horses covered - if any of those come 5th it'll be a good payday. If some of them also happen to come 6th it'll be a very good payday. Already made £440 from B365 refund offer alone so the rest is down to fate.

Well I've just stuck a couple of quid on a few nags.
Got four on each way, paying out to five places. If all come in it's about £300. If my last few flutters are anything to go by though it'll end with one winning with no jockey, one ploughing through a fence and two getting shot.

My £12.50 ew came in on last samurai so £48 something back on that.

Non too shabby today.

You had some serious money laid on that race!

You are braver than I.

I had about £1,500 on it, and won precisely £0. Only about £20 of that was actual punts though!

Was about £5-6k - when you lay off a winner in a race, the liability is only as high as the highest odds horse (since only one horse can win) so the others cancel each other out after a certain point. Same thing happens with the place market after you lay off so many horses.

Didn't hit anything for 5th or 6th place though, was somewhat disappointed about that since I missed out on Cheltenham largely and the fact I spent all facking day scouring for matches.

Still, a good days pay was still had.

Yeah, I wouldn't be comfortable with that level of liability. Luckily I didn't need to lay anything off due to other winnings.

How many of your friends have accounts with 365? It would appear to me they have around five or six!

Yeah a year ago I'd have been shitting my knickers, but its like the Matrix really, after a while you stop seeing the numbers and it's just shifting them from one place to the other.

Gotta be careful though, a guy over at PA thought he;d backed and layed Rule The World, turns out he'd layed it but backed a different horse by mistake, cost him £2,500 Shocked

On around a £62.50 lay... Ouch.

My main concern with those liabilities is if a bookie decides they want to void your bet and you don't win on an exchange. Could easily wipe out a lot of profit in one swoop.

I couldn't do that Bet365 £125 matched betting malarkey because my funds are locked up with Ladbrokes exchange who have taken about 3 weeks now with some bollocks ID verifcation thing. The money is sat in limbo, I can't use it on Ladbrokes exchange and they still haven't released it into my bank account. I need that money before I can afford any big lay bets.

And to make matters even better, I ended up getting drunk with my brother and his missus who were placing bog standard bets on it, so I joined in for the hell of it, bet £2 E/W on the top 5 best winning odds, then a few rums later decided to place the same bets again on another website. Can't believe only one of them finished high enough to get any result. Lost £22 altogether. Not a huge loss but a nice reminder of why standard gambling is a chump's game.

Wee came out when it was tied for first with a few f to go, still happy with my returns mind.
