Never done an event like this before - we dont even know where the gates are yet!!

It has starting gates all over the UK, and you choose your route. But they dont release the gate locations until 1 week before the event - then you have to choose your route.

Its pretty cool idea run by the ACU.

Basically there are several challenges, with different mileages. The 520 mile challenge mean you have to go through 20 gates in order to complete the challenge. You can go pretty much anywhere, on any route between gates.

Obviously the fun will be the 125 and no motorway route haha.

If you need a better explanation (as mine is crap)

stephanie@acu.org.uk is the one to ask. She has been great.

Obviously you will be doing it on 125 Sinnis bikes, that`s no problem for me.
Why don`t you get a third person to do it on one of the Sinnis 250`s ?

After all there is some interest in them also.
Prove to us they are up to the task Thumbs Up

May be tempted to do this.
I have a 250 going to adventure bike TV soon, so it may depend on what they are doing with it.

Where are you based?

Ill look into it if you are serious - it shows a non biased approach.
What do you currently ride ? How long have you been riding ?

Been riding on the road for 35 years (oh crap, that looks like I`m really old)
As for what do I ride now, I have a Kawasaki ZX6r and a Hyosung GT 250r.

If you are serious, have a think and then PM me, maybe we can trash something out? Thumbs Up

Mike,

Supply us all with 250's for the NRR and we can form a giant team. I'm also interested - I'm just "down the road" from pepperami..

I looked into doing the NRR last year just missed it. Hoping to have a go this year. I think you can also get insurance that covers you for the event for £10

From the ACU - when you sign up there's an option - Actually I was wrong, it's not £10... it's free! Smile

I'm interested in doing these, so have signed up for the Welsh one (which is next month) - https://www.clivemcc.co.uk/wnrforms.php . Mrs Bamt is coming along for the ride, so probably doing the short one.

If that goes OK I may well do the English variant too - the Scottish one is a bit of a trek to get to.

I hope to do the welsh one next year - one of my Sinnis dealer does it every year and says its brilliant fun

Id love to supply you all with 250's but id have none to sell haha

Ive anyone does do it, and the fancy meeting along the way for a (very brief) photo haha, let me know

I might be reading it wrong, but it appears to me that it's £30 per person for individual entry or free if you're in a team?
