So i stayed at a mates last night and my Rieju MRT 50 was stolen from directly outside of his house, it was not locked up (obviously my mistake) but definitely had the steering lock on. If anyone see's my bike or hears about it please let me know.
Both levers are broken, the clutch level snapped in half and the brake level had a small piece of the end missing.
It was stolen from Langdale road in Hove.

I would bet thats been stolen to rag around rather than to sell/break...

best thing to do is get looking around the hotspots....

Theres a big field between A2038 and A27 thats often used for offroad dicking about...

I'm more familiar with the other side of town, so can't really think of anywhere else to look around Hove.... That said, someone on here had their bike nicked from somewhere around Hove Station (I think, may be wrong) and it ended up in Bevendean.... Rolling Eyes

oh, and bad luck....

I assume you have told police for them to file and ignore?

Urgh, talk about a pikey magnet. Yup, that'll be in a field, hopefully not burned out. I'd hesitate to tell Dibble about it until I'd had a good look around myself.

The bike was found later on in the day it was reported missing. Some f***head from a youth hostel down the road thought he was smart by kicking of my steering lock (and bending the light cowling in the process), snipping all the cable that lead to my ignition, smashing them together in an attempt to start a bike that is kick start only, then wheeled the bloody thing LITERALLY to the bottom of he road into a parking lot for a block of flats. Further more he then went back to his hostel, and bragged to all of his "mates" about this bike he'd stolen and "hot wired" who then went out of their way to find out who's bike it was and get the kid done for it.
Overall happy I got my bike back, but don't think I'll even need to call my insurance seeing as my excess is 450 quid...
Hopefully the police investigation pulls through an he gets nicked for it.
Rant over.

Make sure the Police know about the repair costs as when it goes to court, they 'might' fine him the costs and reimburse you.
