Oxymoron? Probably. There's plenty of threads out there from people being messed around and ripped of by insurance companies, thought I'd make a change.

Axa insurance seem pretty solid. I have 2 policies with them (both standalone, none of this multicar shared bonus malarky). For two years running their renewal quote is unbeatable . Even ringing around several insurers, no one can come close to the policy I have at the price (63 plate zafira, 10000miles a year, wifey on policy, full UK breakdown, fully comp, £85quid total excess for a shave under £300, 4years NCB).

The online system is great, I can amend the policy, change addresses etc easily, get to my policy wording and certs in 3 clicks of the mouse. Their call centres are UK based and the staff are always happy, cheerful and willing to chat about anything.

Looking at the autoexpress ratings, they fall in the top 10, so it would seem others are having a decent experience with them. All in all, I'm pretty chuffed (well, as chuffed as you can be when you're strong-armed by the law into buying a product from a private company).

They get a thumbs up from me Thumbs Up

Haven't had to make a claim though, so can't comment on whether they're any good in that respect.

So all that's happened so far is you've bought an expensive piece of paper from them? Razz

Not even, I have it saved as a PDF. But it was cheaper than the other bits of paper I was offered and they didn't bend me over at renewal time. Quite the opposite.

Someone I know has an ongoing claim with them (not bike insurance), that's now with the financial ombudsman because of the ridiculously poor service they're received.

Added bonus. They let you use bike insurance for a car as well Thumbs Up

But their renewal for me this year was beaten by several co's.
Not that it would have mattered, as I always change to get cashback Laughing

Only insurer that hasn't pi$$ed me off is JMI (just motorcycle insurance). I liked how they don't automatically renew policies, and they send you a renewal quote that's actually cheaper than price comparison sites.

They are just part of the Carole Nash group. As stated at the bottom of their page.

I know, and I also know Carole Nash are not highly rated. Just saying the things I liked about JMI, no idea if CN do the same.
