Well, after too many years of pottering about on the R125, today I finally had my first big bike delivered.

Don't get me wrong, I loved that little 125 but she was hard work, which was probably more noticeable to me as I'm no spring chicken but, many good times were had on that bike.

However, the ER6F is a beast by comparison and so much easier to ride and the handling is fantastic, it's extremely comfortable too. It's like sitting in a big comfy chair, compared to the R125 and rather than making a kind of rattling noise when idling, the ER6F just purrs like a big cat. Wub

I plan to do some touring around the UK on it this year and will hopefully be able to partake in next years BCF Euro jolly.

Me right now -> Very Happy

Nice mate Thumbs Up

For a 'budget' machine it's got a lot of nice touches, by the looks of it.

Good colour choice too

Cheers. Thumbs Up

The bike appears really well made and considering it cost a little over a grand more than I payed for the R125 (got a reasonable amount knocked off because it's last years model) I'm well happy.

I initially was all set up to purchase a GSXR 600 tbh, until I had a ride on an older ER6N and it was love at first ride. Mr. Green

Lovely looking bike. I'm in the same place as you - I've had my first big bike for 5 days now and loving it.

I bought a new (well, pre reg) Gladius and love it, although I'm envious of your comfy seat and fairing!
Looks fantastic in black and white.

Not really tested it at higher speeds yet, only had a little pootle on it earlier and it needs running in but, there's nothing noticeable.

I'd done a bit of research prior to buying it and apparently the vibration issues were more a problem with earlier models and are supposed to have been sorted out.

I'll let you know when I've had the chance to really test it. Thumbs Up

Oh, and embrace it's first scuff. Once I'd filtered on the M5 and twatted the mirror on a traffic cone I felt loads better. Confused I think.

I hope to have better luck with this new bike than I did with my previous one. That was two and a half days old when a van went through the back of me while sitting at a give way junction, causing over £3,000 worth of damage. Sad

Nice Thumbs Up

Despite previously believing all kawasaki's should be green, I really like the colour.

Enjoy it.

Nice bike Dave. Thumbs Up
136 displayed is the best I've managed. You'll hear a buzzing between about 4 and 5k revs which seems to be the screen.
I keep on top of keeping the 4 screws tight but some rubber/silicone washers between screen and bike should improve things.
Also have an play with the screen as it has 3 settings and you may prefer having it up or down a bit.
Shame it's not green. Wink

It's got a little bit of green on it and it wouldn't match my leathers if it had any more Laughing
